When your manager is an ass it can really make working for your company uncool.
This blog is a representation of your personal ideas and beliefs - you are not required to tow the company line.
I manage a staff of 11 engineers. I don't go searching for my staff's personal information online. But if one of their blogs was ever brought to my attention and it contained disparaging comments about our company - who cares!? That engineer's performance should speak for itself. And if said blog/journal/rant were to actually contain pointed, negative comments about me, I'd like to think I'd take it as a sign that I should examine my management style a bit closer.
Brandon obviously has larger problems in his management style if he has enough time to make snide comments about your personal space. It brings to mind one of my favorite "Demotivators" from Despair.com:
"If a pretty poster and a cute saying are all it takes to motivate you, you probably have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon"

Your boss should find some other things, like decency for starters.
