Steve Perry writing seminar in Portland!

If you are interested in writing or becoming a writer, famous science fiction author Steve Perry will be giving a one-day seminar on Saturday, September 29 in Portland. Steve will be covering the groundwork of the business as well as the art itself, and anybody within traveling radius would do well to attend.

Steve has published dozens of sci-fi books. He has plenty of tips for aspiring sci-fi storytellers, or anyone else who would like to know how to produce a massive amount of work fast. And he always tells it all with humor.

Steve's class outline, from the man himself: "Writing science fiction and fantasy novels -- the who, where, what, when, why, and how. Characters, settings, sub-genres, themes, nuts and bolts construction -- viewpoint, length, dialog, action, exposition, pacing. Students will need pencils, paper (or a laptop they don't mind passing to someone else to read.) There will be some handouts, and along the way, there will be tales of the biz, regarding editors, publishers, and agents, and how to get along with each."

$95.00, OWC members; $130.00, nonmembers.
