...Soon, this lords a-leaping, figgy pudding, silver bells, blinky lights, insane traffic, riot-at-Sam's Club, cold-assed, probably-not-really-the-actual-day-He-was-born-anyway Hallmark greeting card holiday will be OVER, and I can go back to my semi-normal life.

Ditto brother. But I do enjoy the excuse to make gifts for friends.
Dig deeper my friends..past all of the topical soil, into the vein of what really matters..there and only there will one understand the winter solstice...it happens in the heart .....
