It's too fucking hot to write. The past week all I've done is sit around and prayed for death by sno-cone maker. I finally took the floor AC unit we have (and haven't used for years) and set it up in my study where my computer used to be. Which, of course, meant buying a new workdesk and moving everything.
Alas, I have neither the inclination nor the discipline to do this in a neat, orderly fashion. As I stated earlier, it's TOO FUCKING HOT. And I tend to be a whiny prick when it gets like this.
So my study, which has never been the cleanest room in the house, now looks like Caligula's bathroom. On his birthday. Books, weapons, miscellaneous computer parts, a couple of rapiers, beer bottles, the odd sharp knickknack from some third world country strewn everywhere like a miniature hurricane hit the room.
I'll get to it, I guess. But that AC unit is kicking ass! I can write again!
And I finished that collage I was working on. Let me know what you think.

There are about 12 of my favorite things in that. Heavy Metal, Hellraiser, The Old Gentleman, Ellison, The Black Hole, Snake Pliskin, The Thing. Oh, and Dr. Who which is the most awesome thing ever if the people who made Torchwood can please get renditioned to Abu Ghraib now.

Where does that little gold box at the bottom come from? I have a screensaver where it takes itself apart and puts itself back together in weird ways.

Agreed. It's been too hot to much of anything besides whine about the heat. Makes you wonder how people riot, loot, pillage, etc in temperate climates. Maybe they have to charge up with a Sno-Cone.
