Republican or Democrat the lie always churns. I've come to expect nothing from either accept more bunk rhetoric wrapped in a pretty pink bow. So if your looking for the straight truth from either your barking up a dead tree..American Politics is like trying to side step dog shit...for every hunk of good grass there is another turd just waiting to be exposed...and like politics it damn sure sticks to your shoe.
It is all about padding pockets/rich getting richer - I know cliche. Hey it's some evil sort of capitalism/politics - politicians, lobbyist - damn capitalist Zombies getting some sort of kickbacks and campain funds - ya that they don't have to be paid back in some way - riiiiight.
Don't know how to fix it but do see when the economy goes to crap/Wall Street percieved crap, most everyone with any money hangs on to it or at least spends a lot less.
Pumping more to people/institutions that just pad their pockets doesn't help and it sure as hell doesn't trickle down to the people that would spend it - to buy things they need/perceive to need or heaven forbid payoff bills. Want to stimulate the economy get the money or "big" tax breaks for the lower and middle class - they should pump up the economy some - but for how long? Let the rich carry the load for a while with taxes - but only the ones that have a good cushion - don't want them to become middle class. - Yeah that will happen. But what do I know - not enough! I'm one of the ones that wants to pay bills off then save and spend money too. A few more years - hope to get there.
But maybe they know something we don't - anarchy around the corner?zombies? Damn - political, rich, zombies - no offense to regular zombies.
That being said - Gates and Buffet, etc.... pledged half of their wealth to philanthropic causes - would our needy economy qualify to be getting some of that - can we balance the budget with pledges? Hell - the money wouldn't make it to the right place anyway - forget it.
I think if most of us were rich - and I mean rich enough to not worry about ourselves and family and friends because our left over wealth would still grow - we would be happy to give to worthy causes/individuals. Lets all get to that point - wait, then we wouldn't have a lot of causes left - damn it - then we wouldn't have as many tax breaks....damn it!
