Bobbe is being admitted to the hospital today. They will probably operate after they do an MRI and run some tests on his blood. I am hoping that this process is going to be done soon, but I really don't know how long it will take. He has been on Hydrocodone, steroids and several other treatments, none seem to do any good. We found out that he would have to take a lethal dose of vicodin before it took any effect on him. So we are finally getting to the surgery.
Thank you all for your support and calls during this time. My husband hasn't been able to walk or get out of bed most days since the last inflammation on his spine two weeks ago so he hasn't answered calls or email. I've told him who has left a message for him, and he is grateful for your friendship and support, and I am too.
I will post another update when I have some news. Thanks again to all you for your concern.

Well, we only met once but I love your blog and your sense of humor. Hope the surgery goes well and that you make a full recovery.
I hope you feel well soon. The web and silat world is a much quieter and boring place without your unique perspective and humor :)

Wow! I'm sorry it had to come to surgery, but when that's what it takes, that's what it takes. We'll be thinking good thoughts for Bobbe and you. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery,

Anything we can do to help?
Best wishes to Bobbe. I am glad he got in to surgery as soon as he did.
Most likely he will have a somewhat hard time for the next week or so but the pain is nowhere close to the previous pain. I was able to sit in bed with a laptop, and I remember I was in some discomfort but definitely bearable.
He should get up and start moving around after a week or so. This may not be all that easy but it works the kinks out very fast. I remember one morning I couldn't walk half a block, and then by the end of that day I was doing 3 blocks and felt like I could do more.
After that, the next big thing was having a very gentle float. The relief from that was amazing. Again though, he is going to be running into a mostly local ache and not any longer a crazy pain that breaks physical laws.
If you or Bobbe have any questions let me know.
Take care, we are all thinking positive thoughts at you both. Mostly because we know how much Bobbe likes that woo-woo stuff. ;)
Seriously though, we have a bottle of '06 or '07 St.Fullien Noel we have been saving to share with you Bobbe.
Our move is done, now the only thing standing in the way of sharing this bottle with you is your back.
Get better soon, I wanna drink this thing! I swear, it is taunting me from the fridge!
The "Bobster " is hurt? Who did this to him, I will personaally give them a free vasectomy!
Take care Bobbe and don't push it. We all want to see your smiling yet devious face at the next gathering. Buzz man aka hong kong fooey
